Synopsis
在美国，中文作为外国语课堂教学刚刚起步，但发展迅速。生源复杂、教材混乱与师资力量参差不齐是不可回避的现状。作者就是要帮助那些正在积极组织教学内容的老师，打破传统的教学方法，将教学素材、参考资料和教案设计在一起，让教学变得简单、实用而有成效。作者将她的经验总结为“教什么”和“怎么教”，用简单而现实的语言阐述汉语作为外国语教学的这两个根本问题。本书为上篇，即“教什么”。它像一个“集装板块”，每一个板块都是围绕一个话题将语言材料与语言功用串连在一起。内容包括汉语拼音、汉字和24个方面的教学内容。作者认为，教师向学生教授中文是交给学生一种新的感知世界的交际工具，学生通过使用这一工具去体认中文里所包含的文化，将自己培养成为“世界公民”。本书包括简繁两个版本，本册是简体本。
