Synopsis
In 2000, under the organization of the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, our editing team started the amendment job of Chinese-English Dictionary (Revised Edition). Revisers keep the original structure and features of the first two versions, such as most examples taken from classics, poetry and modern vernacular fiction are preserved. This dictionary also follows the compilation ideas of the 1978 edition and 1995 edition. On this basis, the revisers keep pace with the times to actively reflect the real life language while making some beneficial attempts to effectively complete the amendment job.
