Synopsis
This is a love story that of grandeur and universal power. It set in the Sicilian invasion in 1943. In the summer of 1943, a British army who was tired of war was sent to Catania, the coast city of Sicily. Encounter was occurred then with a part of sentimentality, a part of cruelty and a part of sadness. It is full of humane power. The core of this novel was love story between sergeant Craddock and a young mother. Their love began with the arrival of British army and ended when the British army was ordered to chase the defeated German army to the north.
