《中国古典文学丛书：刘辰翁词校注》与1998年版《须溪词》相比，增加了大量内容，修正原先的疏漏之处。即如书后所附《刘辰翁年谱简编》。和原稿相比，修订后的《年谱》一方面增加大量条目，一方面不再受原先求"简"之局限，在条目下补充了原始资料，其实即称之为"刘辰翁年谱"亦可无愧，但吴先生出于谦逊，故仍称之为"简编"。
