According to literary phenomenon and based on introducing historical materials of the literary movements and literature history background, the second version of A Course in History of Chinese Contemporary Literature mainly analyzes literature works. It helps learners understand the spirit tradition in the literature history with those works. The book divides the contemporary literature history into three stages: 1949 1978, 1978 1989, and post 1990s. The book makes detailed and profound analysis on war culture norms, new cultural norms in peaceful building era and cultural diversity in unknown eras of the three stages.
