Synopsis
语音学习和词汇、语法不同，主要不是靠分析和记忆，而是靠听辨和模仿。首先耳朵要能听辨，然后发音器官要会模仿，最后，在不断模仿的过程中养成新的发音习惯。最后一个阶段需要的时间最长，在这阶段很容易不自觉地受母语干扰使得模仿走了样，如果没有人随时提醒，成了习惯，就形成了洋腔洋调。 这部教材的最大特点是有很强的针对性，编著在“前言”中提出力求体现“对症下药、有的放矢”的原则，可以说是本书编写的一条主线，正文前的“语音状况调查表”则是全书的纲，目的就是找寻学生的“症”和“的”，找对了“症”和“的”，才有可能药到病除，矢不虚发。正文除第一节“汉语拼音基本知识”是复习性质的以外，其余各节都有其相对独立性，哪些先学，哪些后学，哪些可以不学，都要根据“语音状况调查表”的调查结构来决定，重点在解决实际问题，并不要求知识的系统性，这是这部教材和其他语音教材的最大不同外。
