《封灵铃藏 辽代砖石塔研究》通过对辽政权的五京六府地区有明确纪年的塔的研究，试图解决有明确纪年的辽代砖石塔的各种功能问题。尤其是经过维修，天宫、地宫经过挖掘整理的辽代砖石塔，即“打穿”塔体，“进入”塔身，将塔外部和内部雕刻等各种图像、天宫、地宫还有出土物联系起来，把“塔的瘗埋制度与象征意义”阐述清楚。
