Synopsis
In order to help foreiners learn Chinese, China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Hanban) introduced a new format of exam after conducting adequate research with the help of related departments. Chinese Proficiency Test Syllubas (Level 1) is designed for learners who know about 150 Chinese characters and related grammer to further their Chinese studies 2 or 3 hours each week for half a year so as to accomplish simple communication.
