YCT Standard Course (YCT???? en su título en chino) emplea ilustraciones, actividades, ejercicios, canciones e historias para aproximarse al aprendizaje de una forma multidisciplinar. YCT Standard Course 3 Este libro corresponde a la primera parte del nivel 3 del YCT, con el volumen 4 se completaría este nivel. Esta primera parte cubre 80 palabras (de las 300 que hay que estudiar) y 26 estructuras gramaticales y funciones del lenguaje. Costa de 12 lecciones y el tiempo estimado de clase por lección es de 3 a 4 horas. La lección última es de revisión. Cada tema contiene una página de prueba del modelo del examen YCT, que ayuda a los estudiantes a familiarizarse con el examen y pasar el YCT con éxito después de terminar el libro. Los apartados del libro son los siguientes: frases clave, vocabulario, lectura (textos), actividades y ejercicios, canciones y una página de prueba del examen. Vocabulario Cada lección tiene alrededor de 10 palabras nuevas, con no más de 3 palabras que no están incluidas en el plan de estudios del YCT (todas marcadas con un asterisco * para distinguirlas). El vocabulario aparece escrito en caracteres chinos, pinyin y traducción al inglés. De algunas palabras, además, se ofrecen ejemplos. Textos Cada lección contiene dos textos que incluyen frases de anteriores exámenes de YCT. Actividades y ejercicios El libro plantea ejercicios tradicionales de rellenar huecos o de elección, pero además sugiere juegos y otras actividades de actuación y movimiento.
