Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor that develops in gastric cells.Every year, nearly a million new cases of gastric cancer are diagnosed worldwide, with a projected death toll of over 700,000 in 2018, after lung cancer and colorectal cancer, making it the third most deadly cancer in the world.A genuine public health problem, stomach cancer is the second most common digestive cancer worldwide, after colorectal cancer. In Africa, certain studies show that digestive cancers, including stomach cancers, are being diagnosed with increasing frequency. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the early diagnosis and optimal management of gastric cancer are key to reducing its incidence and mortality rate. This study therefore examined the epidemiological and anatomo-clinical profiles of gastric cancer in the SCGDV of the DRC.
