However, the coconut sorting process in the Sri Lankan marketplace lacks precision. This project aims to design and fabricate an efficient sorting machine for husked coconuts. The machine is intended to sort husked coconuts into three categories based on their size. It employs roller conveyor technology, utilizing seven main rollers powered by a 400 W single-phase motor. The key aspect of the sorting mechanism is the center-to-center distance between the rotating shafts, determined through comprehensive data collection from related organizations, authorities, employers in the field, and customers. The designed components have been rigorously tested, and finite element analysis results have been examined to ensure the machine's safe working conditions. Arduino technology is integrated to count the sorted coconuts within the three categories. Machinery has significantly improved the overall quality of life and streamlined large-scale businesses by enhancing economic benefits through improved efficiency, accuracy, and effective time management.
