This model is an advance on previous models, with the generality of the empirical correlations used and the detail to which condensation is represented, improved over previous efforts. The water flow in the rain and spray zones has been modeled in more detail with two-dimensional Lagrangian particle motion and the droplet distribution in the rain zone is also represented.
