Synopsis

There is a statistically significant relationship between subjects offered in secondary schools and career choices by students. Home and school based factors have a significant influence on student career choices among secondary schools. Proper career guidance and counseling is important in schools alongside offering a wide range of career subjects to the learners. Parents need to be mindful of the desires and aspirations of their children and not to be rigid towards them. Parents should work hard and facilitate their children by way of purchasing additional learning materials that would improve students' prospects for good careers.
