A novel compact printed monopole antenna is designed on FR4 substrate to cover the Industrial Scientific band (ISM) at 2.45GHz. Two monopole antenna models are designed in this documentation. The antenna model 1 has symmetrical radiators and parasitic elements which are loaded parallelly and T-shaped ground which is inverted. The antenna displays the dual band nature and exhibits the resonating frequencies at 2.5GHz and 4.2GHz. When the antenna is placed in the three-layered phantom model contains of the skin, fat and muscle it resonates at 2. 5GHz. The antenna model 2 consists of a T-shape ground plane which acts as a reflector. The design of frequency reconfigurable antenna is fed by micro strip transmission line feeding using economically available PIN diodes. The suggested antenna can operate at telemetry and WiMAX applications with resonant frequencies of 1.4GHz and 3.6GHz. Frequency switching is acquired by convenient positioning of PIN diodes on the patch. The constructed antenna shows good return loss (S11<-10dB) at resonant frequency band. It determines low profile, low cost and compact size which is used for wireless communication applications.
