Synopsis

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Little Rock Lake is a reservoir in Benton County, Minnesota, United States. The lake was formed in 1911 by the impounding of the Mississippi River by the Sartell Dam 5 miles (8 km) downriver. The lake has two public boat access points. Water clarity in the lake is low (less than 1.5 feet) and aquatic plants are abundant. A reservoir (etymology from French réservoir a "storehouse) or an artificial lake is used to store water. Reservoirs may be created in river valleys by the construction of a dam or may be built by excavation in the ground or by conventional construction techniques such as brickwork or cast concrete.
