Taka, a young peregrine falcon, left his home to escape the war and to see the world. Before leaving, he attached a one of a red ribbon to the tree that was his home and another to his leg. He traveled the world, experiencing many adventures while growing large and strong. One day, in a thunderstorm, the ribbon was struck by lightning, and Taka began to feel homesick. He began the long journey home and found the ribbon and his tree.
This story, with its watercolor illustrations, evokes a sense of longing for home and the contentment Taka experiences at the end of his journey.

Beatriz Rojas (Santiago de Chile, 1968) es escritora y psicóloga chilena, con estudios en arte, psicología y psicopedagogía. Se ha dedicado a la literatura infantil y juvenil, publicando títulos destacados como El muuundo de Maca (2014), León y el Carnaval de la Vida (2014), León y su tercer deseo (2014), Ritalinda (2013), El viaje de la marmota (2013) y Celia y la fiesta de las galletas (2009). Sus obras han sido editadas por Loqueleo (Santillana) y Planeta Lector, y forman parte de programas escolares en Chile y otros países de habla hispana, consolidándola como una autora relevante en la literatura infantil contemporánea.
