Das transdisziplinäre Entwurfs-und-Bau-Netzwerk constructlab verfolgt einen dynamischen Ansatz, der architektonische Konzepte und Bauvorhaben miteinander verknüpft, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf Zusammenarbeit liegt. Das Kollektiv bricht mit dem traditionellen Modell der Arbeitsteilung und involviert ein Team aus vielseitig begabten Entwerfenden/Bauschaffenden – sowie Soziolog*innen, Stadtplaner*innen, Grafikdesigner*innen, Kurator*innen, Pädagog*innen und Webentwickler*innen –, die den kreativen Prozess vom Zeichentisch in die Praxis übertragen. Auf diese Weise können die Entwürfe auf die Potenziale und Einschränkungen reagieren, die sich aufgrund der Materialien, des Standorts, der Umgebung und Nutzung ergeben.

Joanne Pouzenc ist Architektin, Pädagogin und unabhängige Kuratorin. Sie beschäftigt sich in den Bereichen Architektur, Kulturproduktion und redaktionelle Arbeit mit kollaborativen Prozessen und Lernumgebungen.

Alex Römer ist ein in Berlin lebender Architekt und Zimmermann. Er initiierte constructlab als Plattform und Interessenvertretung für Entwurfs-und-Bau-Projekte mit Schwerpunkt auf nachhaltigen und situationsbezogenen Ansätzen in spezifischen sozialen Kontexten.

Peter Zuiderwijk ist ein in Den Haag ansässiger Designer mit Fokus auf forschungs- und prozessbasiertes Design, Ausstellungsdesign und Szenografie.

The transdisciplinary design-build network constructlab takes a dynamic approach to uniting architectural concepts and construction with an emphasis on collaboration. Breaking with traditional divisions of labor, the organization engages a team of multi-talented designer-builders―as well as sociologists, urban planners, graphic designers, curators, educators, and web developers―who carry the creative process from the drafting table into the field, making it possible for designs to respond to the possibilities and constraints posed by materials, site, environment, and utilization.

Joanne Pouzenc is an architect, educator, and independent curator working on collaborative processes and learning environments through architecture, cultural production, and editorial work.

Alex Römer is an architect-carpenter based in Berlin. He initiated the idea of constructlab as a platform and interest group for design-build projects with an emphasis on sustainable and situated approaches within specific social contexts.

Peter Zuiderwijk is a designer based in The Hague who specializes in research- and process-based design, exhibition design, and scenography.
