Synopsis

For fans of Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Phantom Toolbooth, and Peter Pan.

Amidst the disappearance of his parents, a young boy and his extraordinary talking dog-like companion embark on a daring quest, facing perplexing challenges and encountering obscure creatures, all with one goal in mind: to reunite their family.

Robert cherishes every moment of his summer vacation alongside his chatty bestie, Fartie. From boating and swimming to rock collecting and indulging in sweets―their time at the lake is simply perfect. Yet, the joy turns to confusion when they return home to find their parents mysteriously absent.

Determined to rescue their loved ones, who have been whisked away by an eerie, damp shadow to an unknown world, Robert and Fartie set out on a courageous journey. Guided by the instructions of a blackbird, they enter a magical, turquoise-colored land. And when a wise dog greets them to explain that Mom and Dad are trapped in a castle with their memories missing, the brave duo vows to find the magic sand that can fix everything.

As they walk, fly, and dive across this colorful realm, can they rescue their family before it's too late?

A Place of Turquoise is a charming whimsical middle-grade story brimming with fast-paced adventures, unforgettable characters, and enchanting settings that will captivate children's imagination.
