Synopsis

Robert's mother is sick and needs surgery, his father is a sailor and rarely comes home. That's why Robert spends the holidays with his grandmother, who, together with a thick cat, inhabits a beautiful old house and manages a large property with many apple trees. Robert follows them up to their castle and has to come up with a lot to come back home. Luckily, his new friend helps him, the Rat Raschel. And it helps him a smart trick of his late grandpa, which he remembers and makes him the winner in finger rings with the giants. So he comes back in time to visit his mum in the hospital and give her a healing herb from the giants. And his dad is back too. The book tells of a fantastic world that Robert flees into to be able to process the mother's illness. He learns that he is strong enough to cope with giants, and that there are friends who are there for you in need.
