Synopsis

"Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans" - what John Lennon so aptly formulated hardly anyone contradicts that. In such situations, the Rhinelander tends to say: "Et kütt wie et kütt un et hätt noch immer jot jejange". The art of survival is therefore to take the unexpected shallows as calmly as possible. Elfi Steickmann also knows to report about this - on stage, on TV and radio and in her books.

Her tenth book "Och dat noch" is also dedicated to the big and small themes of life. Whether creation, ageing, holidays, the passage of time, encounters, human peculiarities, dreams and desires or the curiosities of everyday life - the dialect author succeeds in looking at Freud and Suffering nonchalantly yet with sensitivity.

In her coincidences, poems and songs, which always come in the finest Kölsch, she cleverly weaves wit, melancholy and wisdom of life. The result is a collection of texts that holds the mirror up to the reader, keeps him thinking and entertains him well.
