Synopsis
Being a teenager at the start of the new millenium is no longer a phase in the process of growing up; it is a state of mind which increasingly, according to psychologist, Dominique Frischer, starts earlier and lasts longer. Bettina Rheims has photographed young women in their bedrooms, that most personal of private spaces and offered them a stage on which to perform in front of her camera. One chooses to become a ballerina in a tutu, one to pose as a rock singer with a microphone. they act out their fantasies before a backdrop of their personal posessions, which in turn, gives clues to their private worlds.
