Sometimes it is difficult to imagine that we are anything other than ourselves in this small and present life. We are born and we live and grow. We mature, we age and die. This is the cycle that we have been taught, that has been our reality for many hundreds of years. And yet now, as we move more rapidly towards the fast-approaching Age of Aquarius, many people are beginning to reawaken to the truth that this is but one of many lives that we have lived. ...
To think that we are the sum of all these lives which we have lived and yet are still imperfect and fallible in so many ways, to harbour the responsibility of continuing a succession of incarnations that are designed to provide our higher soul selves with knowledge, wisdom, experience and ever-growing, ever-deepening spiritual truth, means that we must contemplate the fact that our lives have more meaning than simply existing, that we have more purpose than simply finding joy, that there is a spiritual significance and reason behind who we are and why we are, and where we are and what we do. ...
Many people who have become interested and fascinated with the concept of reincarnation have allowed themselves to be so infatuated with the possibilities of their previous lives, that they have become dangerously obsessed. Dislocated from their present life they live instead in an eternal and unending fantasy land of memories that cannot be verified and emotions that are no longer real. It is dangerous to allow this to be so and it is more important for people to live within the present moment of their existing incarnation and look upon their memories of the past or those memories that are passed on to them by others more sensitive to these energies and areas of life as examples that can teach them where they have come from, what they have learned, what mistakes they have made, what triumphs they have earned and succeeded in and by these markers and these points see why they are where they are today, what they are meant to achieve, what they are meant to do, where they are going. Judging, deciding and plotting the course of this life with the knowledge that their previous incarnations give them. For if we are truly to decide where we are to go then we must know where we have come from.

And so it is under these conditions that the Masters have chosen to step forward and recount stories of their previous incarnations to let the world know about who they were and what they have done. Not to satisfy the idle curiosity of those who seek to gather greater details about the Masters who they worship as saints or gods, but rather to guide the serious spiritual student who walks upon the path of light with examples of their own previous incarnations, in order that they may present spiritual lessons through their own lives led, that they may show us that once they were very human too, and prone to indecision and mistake, both small and large, to educate us to the fact that by looking upon the previous lives of others and ourselves we can glean great guidance that will help us see those areas of our own life that need to be amended and attended to.

Before then I open this door and let you browse inside this library where you will find the stored records of these Ascended Masters past lives, let me detail briefly for those new to these subjects and these mysteries a brief concept concerning the Masters themselves and also the reasons for and the mechanics of reincarnation. ...
Reincarnation is a simple process. The soul, the higher self, born from God, detaches a part of its own light and sends it down upon the Earth in order to incarnate into physical form. The soul has chosen the parents and the time lines in which it will live, knowing a little about the circumstances in which that part of itself that journeys down to the Earth will grow, knowing that it has chosen these things in order that the spirit may learn examples and lessons that will complement the higher self s absent knowledge, that will provide it with a greater opportunity to be complete through the emotional and mental experiences, through the physical and spiritual experiences that it will have. The spirit journeys down and roots itself into the growing body of the unborn child and soon is born. The child lives, grows, guided always by the will of the higher self which is guided by the will of the Divine, in order that it may experience those things that are needed to be seen and!
done. The spirit has free will of course and often exercises this to deny the higher self its need for experience and growth. But the more spiritual the incarnated soul or spirit becomes, the more it will align itself with the higher self s will and allow itself to be drawn to those people, places and opportunities that will benefit it the most. Even if these opportunities and situations are harsh, painful or difficult, it will know that these offer teachings and growth, and that the greatest teachers are often the most painful situations to be seen or experienced.

The soul continues on its journey and eventually ages and dies or is returned all too quickly to the spiritual realms by accidents or matters of a darker nature. Of course these occur in accordance with the higher self s and the Divine s will. Nothing is left to chance but all to a certain extent is planned. Through a process of continued reincarnation the higher self grows and expands until it has completed all those areas of knowledge that it was created to discover and learn, upon which it rises to a higher dimension and continues its spiritual evolution in these realms of light. It is not the quantity of incarnations upon the Earth that provides one with great knowledge or spiritual power, but the lessons learned within, the quality of experience, the quality of knowledge achieved. An old soul therefore is not accounted as such because of the amount of lives lived, but by the intensity of experiences had.

So now journey with me, take my hand and let me guide you to this large and beautiful old wood door that opens wide before we touch it with our hands. Inside you see a large and ancient library, with oak panelled walls and winding spiral wrought iron staircases. With walls that are lined with book upon book upon book leather bound, brown, black and red, embossed with golden writing and golden spines.

You see people moving silently from shelf to shelf, inspecting the books and from time to time plucking them from the shelves and reading them intently. And you see attendants too, who guide these seekers to the right records and aid them in the reading process. These assistants are angels, beautiful beings composed of light that bear upon their shoulders tall and magnificent wings. And you realise that this is no ordinary library, but in truth the Akashic library, the Akashic planes where all knowledge of all lives once lived, lived now, and to be lived in the future, are stored. It is a place beyond time, beyond space. A place that carries all thoughts, all feelings, all physical experiences, all spiritual experiences ever lived by anyone or anything on Earth. A place that hums and breathes with knowledge. Guided by my hand we walk to a special section of the library, where very few people wander. This section carries the Akashic records of the lives of those beings who have now become the Ascended Masters and it is here where we hover and stay.
