The manual describes the conceptual basics, content, and didactic-methodological solution approaches of multimodal stress competence training (MMSK). The modular principle of the training concept allows a variable person, group and setting-related use and gives users space to use their own experiences and ideas in stress management training. Concept conformity and structure of the training ensure overarching guiding principles that are applicable to different goals and tasks and form the basis for the planning and design of stress competence training in groups as well as individuals. The guiding principles relate (1) to the four content-based, interconnected priorities resources, evaluation processes, action and behavioral strategies, tension regulation, (2) to the equal attention of the biological, psychological and social/socio-cultural aspect in stress events as well as (3) to the teaching of instruments to a stress competent ExperExperExperExperExperExperienteaching, self-reflection, methods and strategies, skills and techniques. Stress competence training is aimed at supporting development-promoting, successful adaptation processes as well as avoiding, limiting and coping with health-damaging or impairing stress effects. The MMSK concept is mainly used for predictive and preventive-oriented tasks, but can also be integrated into psychotherapeutic intervention processes. The manual is aimed at psychologists/psychologists, psychotherapists/psychotherapists, doctors, psychologically trained people in counseling and coaching as well as graduates of health, operational and sports science as well as social pedagogical courses working in a wide range of areas of health promotion, health maintenance and rehabilitation. Stress competence training is becoming increasingly important in the operational or professional context, in the treatment of psychosomatic disorders (e.g. backrests) and in health sports. Readers will find in this manual theoretical basics on the concept of stress, information about new approaches and approaches to stress problems and further literature, as well as a theory-led intervention concept with a variety of practical-methodical suggestions and exercise materials (also on CD). Example programs for designing a stress competence training and questionnaire for change and condition measurement complement this.
