Stattdessen umkreist er die Beziehungen zwischen Raumen, Zeichen und dem Selbst, wodurch versteckte Strukturen sichtbar werden, die die Schonheit hinter oberflachlichen Eindrucken offenbaren. Kleine menschliche Details und zeitliche Spuren ziehen sich durch seine Arbeiten. Der international anerkannte Schriftsteller Ivan Vladislavic lasst sich von Fouries Fotografien inspirieren, die weniger kommentiert werden, sondern als Ausgangspunkt fur fiktive Ereignisse dienen. Fouries Werke erweitern sich in die Dimension der Sprache. Er wurde 1969 in Pretoria, Sudafrika, geboren und lebt heute in Berlin. Zu seinen Einzelausstellungen zahlen "End of the World" in der Johannesburg Art Gallery (2005) und im Museum for African Art in New York (2004). Er hat an zahlreichen internationalen Gruppenausstellungen teilgenommen, darunter in Amsterdam, Tokio und Brussel sowie an der Luanda Triennale und der Biennale von Venedig.
