The short moderation is aimed at all those who want to organise meetings, learning events, presentations or conduct themselves. This is about applying the moderation method for short events with a duration of up to half a day, or integrating it into individual stages of a larger event that is otherwise methodically different. The book is highly practice-oriented. In the first part, a comparison of a moderated and an unmoderated meeting will begin. On the one hand, this serves as a decision aid and on the other hand explains to those who do not know the moderation method what 'moderation' actually is. The second part offers 20 sample processes from different areas with different topics and intentions (operational area, committee and final thesis, school and university, exchange of experience, self-organized group work). The processes always show a similar basic pattern, but the authors want to make it clear: what special features can occur in the different application situations; how short moderations of different lengths (from 45 minutes to four hours) can take place; which methodological alternatives exist regardless of the field of application. In the third and fourth part, the method is explained understandable and feasible even for laymen, which explains 'moderation gibberish'. The literature references help to deepen the background knowledge on the method.
