However, its success depends upon the active cooperation and support of the people, especially women. The role of women and women’s organization is of crucial importance as they are the one who are vitally affected and stand to gain the most. Status of women (in terms of education, employment and health) is crucial for the better performance of Family Welfare Programme.

She has done her masters and Ph.D.(2010) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She has availed UGC-Research Fellowship (2007-09) and UGC-Research Fellowship in Science for Meritorious Students (2009-2010).
