Synopsis

Due to increasing food demands, pesticides are being used extensively for agricultural crops. Pesticides are contaminating our environment as well. Some pesticides are biodegradable, i.e. These are broken down into less harmful components by living organisms. Specific genes called Pesticides Degrading Genes (PDGs), in these living organisms are responsible for degradation of pesticides. Cloning of these genes in rapidly growing organisms can work to eradicate pesticides contamination during the process of bio remediation.
