Synopsis

In this research work, synthesis of Schiff bases was carried by simple synthetic route. In the first step, the synthesis of dialdehyde 4, 4'-(propane-1, 3-diylbis (oxy)) dibenzaldehyde was done through simple reaction, from which three products were obtained and the desired dialdehyde was isolated by column chromatography. Using this dialdehyde, a series of pharmacologically important Schiff bases were synthesized.

Miss Saba Mehreen has completed her master degree from Department of Chemistry, Hazara University, Mansehra. Afterwords she took active participation in research and worked in the world renounced labs of HEJRIC, University of Karachi.
