Synopsis

The purpose of this book is to present the dynamics between producers and distributors of Genetically Modified Organisms and their stakeholders. In particular the discussion is focused on a specific class of stakeholders defined as secondary stakeholders, that, in accordance with Hall and Martin (2005), may play a disruptive role in radical technology development by presenting political challenges and creating difficulties and\or disrupting the competencies of innovation value-added chain stakeholders. The book gives an overview of the problems faced by the transgenic technology, the current situation of the market and the technology used in producing GM products. Finally I suggest the best strategy to be followed to prevent the block of the innovation process by secondary stakeholders.
