Adequate asset portfolio is a necessary condition for firms and business to maintain and remain a sustained competitive advantage. This condition is however not different in the construction industry. Unfortunately very little studies has been conducted in the construction industry to examine the asset structure of the firms that operate in this sector. This work therefore used the mix methodology to conduct the study. The analysis therefore seeks to shed more light on the pattern of asset structure of major construction firms in Ghana as well as implication on their operation. This work though conducted in Ghana would be useful to all stakeholders in the construction industry especially in developing countries.
