Synopsis

Community acquired pneumonia is a pneumonia acquired outside of hospitals or extended health facilities and it is a leading infectious disease. The book provides you potential risk factors of under-five year child mortality due to community acquired pneumonia at Hawassa City using hierarchical multilevel and non hierarchical multilevel models. The book used a retrospective study on 305 sampled under-five hospitalized patients of community acquired pneumonia with hospital considered as second level for hierarchical multilevel model, while in cross classified model, resident and hospital were classified at the second level.Furthermore a multiple membership multilevel model was used to consider variation due to referred patients. Bayesian approach was applied in which the posterior model was simulated via Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC).
