Taking into account the need and significance of a roadmap or framework for testing software fault tolerance techniques, a prescriptive framework FTFT is proposed. The framework has been attempted to be highly implementable and prescriptive in nature. It has been structured into a hierarchical description including provinces, generic guideline, metrics development process etc. The framework testing robustness of fault tolerance techniques comprised of six phases. Developed Framework to test Software Fault Tolerance requires validation and testing further so that its significance may be established. A validation workshop and expert's review are conducted to validate the framework. Viable changes are made into framework by examining observations of expert and revised framework including phase wise steps is proposed. Finally revised framework is put for Empirical Validation. Experiment is designed based upon the data sample from software industries for tryout and revision of the framework.
