Disk flutter or flow induced vibration becomes the most challenging problem among all the mechanical disturbances in many applications, such as floppy disk drives, CDROM, DVD and circular saws including rotating disks in hard disk drives (HDDs). Md. Emdadul Hoque, PhD is an assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh. He is now a JSPS post-doctoral fellow at Saitama University in Japan. He is a fellow of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, a member of IEEE and ASME.
