Author has explored different aspects of watershed management and tried to find out the contribution of watershed management program to the livelihoods of local people considering sustainable livelihood framework by identifying the criteria and indicators of watershed management activities. The work is quite beneficial to researchers, students, practitioners and policy makers involved in NRM.

Mr. Ram Singh Thapa born in Nepal, MSc in Land Management and Land Tenure from TUM, Germany; working as a Soil Conservation Officer under Government of Nepal since 1997 and also handling the Soil Science course for BSc students, a DAAD scholar during his MSC study and awarded President?s Award for the best Thesis-2009 for this work in MSc.
