Liberal democracy is under pressure worldwide. It is challenged by anti-liberal movements and parties as well as by authoritarian regimes. About the Author

Ralf Fücks ist Gründer und geschäftsführender Gesellschafter des Zentrums Liberale Moderne in Berlin, das sich als Think-Tank und Diskussionsplattform zur Erneuerung der liberalen Demokratie versteht. Zuvor war er 21 Jahre lang Vorstand der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung. Er publiziert in deutschen und internationalen Medien zu Fragen nachhaltiger Entwicklung, politischer Strategie und internationaler Politik. Rainald Manthe, geb. 1987, ist Soziologe und Autor. Er war Direktor des Programms »Liberale Demokratie« beim Think-Tank »Zentrum Liberale Moderne«. Rainald Manthe hat über transnationale Treffen sozialer Bewegungen – die Weltsozialforen – promoviert und schreibt regelmäßig zu Fragen der Demokratieentwicklung.
