Synopsis
Concepts of mind and breath represent a unity in different cultures. This applies to the biblical breath of God, the Greek pneuma and the Latin spiritus, the prana of Sanskrit, the Chinese Chi. The discursivation makes the spirit atem appear as an "absolute metaphor" in the sense of Hans Blumenberg. It fills an empty space in the knowledge system and puts an aesthetic shape in place of rational exploration. This means that the breath of the mind can only be a design from a logical point of view and remain indefinite. This examination applies to the simultaneous determinability in the context of aesthetic-motor design (a morphoma).

Jan Söffner untersucht am Beispiel der Inspirationsmetapher und anhand Platons "Phaidros" und Rilkes "Sonette an Orpheus" das Zusammenspiel von körperlicher Praxis, Ästhetik und Bedeutung.
