Contributions to the writings of Robert Musil appear in the series since 1971. Founded by Karl Dinklage and continued for many years by Josef Strutz, the "Musil-Studies" are published today by Christoph Hoffmann (Luzern), Alexander Honold (Basel), Birgit Nübel (Hannover) and Norbert Christian Wolf (Vienna). The now over 40 volumes place the poet and essayist Musil at the centre, open up individual literary texts and discuss his scientific and journalistic works. In the series, monographs of leading music researchers, important academic qualification papers and groundbreaking conference volumes have appeared. In the beginning, editionsphilological studies, interpretations of individual work complexes and broad literary historical contextualizations were in the foreground. Since the 1990s, scientific historical and cultural studies reviews have been gaining increasing attention. In the "Musil Studies" monographs, anthologies, and edition projects can be included, addressing researchers, educators, and an interested public. Also desirable are contributions that classify Robert Musil's work into larger constellations and contexts. Publication languages are German and English.
