Dies umfasst im ersten Teil Länderberichte (Chile, Argentinien, Brasilien, Mexiko, Deutschland, Türkei, Südafrika und Ukraine), die die historischen und gegenwärtigen Herausforderungen im Umgang mit diesem Phänomen in den Blick nehmen. Im zweiten Teil wird in verschiedenen Querschnittsthemen beleuchtet, welche rechtlichen und außerrechtlichen Umgangsmöglichkeiten mit dem Phänomen des spurlosen Verschwindenlassens es gibt.
