Synopsis

This book introduces the design of a low-power UHF receiver front-end in Silicon on Insulator (SOI) CMOS process aimed for wireless communications. Receiver top level system design and block level designs such as low noise amplifiers, mixers and image rejecting complex filters are discussed in detail. Parameter extraction of integrated inductors on SOI wafer is also demonstrated which is an integral part of low noise amplifier designs. An extended review of the SOI CMOS process is also provided.
