Synopsis

This book is the culmination of various writings reflecting the author’s beliefs and ideas on effective second language teaching. The first section includes the author’s teaching philosophy, which emphasizes communicative learning, remaining in the target language, intercultural and pragmatic competence, and using the standards for foreign language learning. About the Author

Yasmine Kataw holds a Masters in Second Language Teaching from Utah State University. She has taught Arabic as a foreign language at the university level in the United States and English as a foreign language in Amman, Jordan. She has presented at many venues about Arabic language teaching, dual language immersion, and culture.
