The access to biofeeds from ligno-cellulosic biomass resources, particularly bio-oil obtained from biomass fast pyrolysis, has been considered as an attractive option; however, finding a novel and suitable catalyst for bio-oil upgrading and an effective process of upgraded bio-oil in a conventional refinery is required. T.M. Huynh obtained his PhD degree at Leibniz Institute for Catalysis at the University of Rostock (Germany) on bio-oil upgrading for co-processing in standard refinery. Currently, he is working at Vietnam Petroleum Institute as a Manager of Biofuels Department. His interest research is focused on biofuels and the integration with petrochemical.
