Synopsis

The innovation in this study is quite an eye opener; it is the first time a simultaneous assessment of the vertical accuracy of ASTER and SRTM are carried out for the study area, revealing their level of accuracy for Geomatics work. The study went further to bring out the degree of relationship between the EGM96 geoid model and the local datum of the study area in terms of geoid undulation. This research for our study area has never been treated elsewhere except in China University of Geosciences through this work.

About the Author

Christian Odutola Amans is a Masters Degree holder in Geodesy and Survey Engineering from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan)2014. Christian received his Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Statistics from Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State and a first Degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics at Federal Poly Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria.
