Synopsis

Vehicular networking is a new emerging wireless technology concept that supports communication amongst various nearby vehicles themselves and enables vehicles to have access to the Internet. This networking technology provides vehicles with endless possibilities of applications, including safety, convenience, and entertainment. This book introduces the background of vehicular networks, challenges, and research problems. Moreover, the book presents three novel communication paradigms for achieving seamless connectivity in Vehicular Ad Hoc NETworks (VANETs), wherein connectivity is often affected by changes in vehicles' speed, dynamic topology, as well as traffic density.
