Along with the establishment of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, it is an important statement of intent on government transformation toward greener effort and energy sustainability that has become a key focus of the national agenda. Prof. Dr. Tahir has a PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He is currently the director of Construction Research Centre, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He has published more than 100 journals and proceedings.
