Instructing Thematic Progression (TP) Patterns in academic writing has been haphazardly touched upon in writing instruction and assessment domain. About the Author

Javad Gholami is an Assistant Professor in TESOL from Urmia University, Iran. Laya Soleymanzadeh, an MA graduate in TESOL, is a lecturer at Urmia University. As experienced EFL practitioners, both authors have been researching on thematic patterns and its instruction in academic writing and writing assessment.
