Synopsis
In this book, the development of many novel classical, optimal, Neuro-Fuzzy and gain scheduling controllers are described to allow linear and nonlinear, centralized and decentralized control of an active magnetic bearing. Problems of a rotor unbalance and disturbances are solved with a simple method called disturbance rejection. The results show that the suggested controllers can achieve stability and eliminate disturbances for active magnetic bearing.

About the Author
Manar Eltantawie is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at Higher Technological Institute, six of October Branch,Egypt. She is received her Master and PhD degrees from Cairo University. Her research areas include Control of Magnetic Bearing, Multi-variable Control Systems, MR Damper,Fuzzy Logic Control and Control of Suspension System.
