Synopsis

Power Line Communication (PLC) is a communication technology, which enables sending data over existing power cables. This means that, with just power cables running to an electronic device (for example) one can both power it up and at the same time control/retrieve data from it in a half-duplex manner. PRIME is a new NBPLC system, which uses OFDM in its physical layer, for power line communication in the last mile. PRIME's performance under three channel conditions are explored.

About the Author

Adeyemi Alatishe graduated with a first class degree in Information and Communication Technology Covenant University in 2008. He earned his Masters Degree in Communication Engineering in 2012 and is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field.
