This book analyses the technical systems for Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) and their procedures and applications in airports and focus on the aircraft turn-around and pre-departure sequencing process (How the Airport Operators, Ground Handlers, ATC and the Network Operations work and share data). It is elaborated by literature review, results comparison, critical analysis of the state of the art and future trends in A-CDM applications and by assessing enablers and constraints such as Flow Unit, Runway Sequencer, Weather and Taxi-Times. As a practical example, it describes the CDM-project "Vienna" as ATC centric CDM. There is no systematic way of disseminating information concerning airport-reduced capacity due to weather or other disruptions that causes an imbalance in safety, efficiency, flexibility, emissions and costs. A-CDM processes are used to share information, values and preferences that build a common pool of knowledge; in conjunction with other methods elements to reach a higher punctuality in the aircraft turn-around and pre-departure sequencing process. Improved situational awareness through the exchange of timely and high-quality information can optimise decision-making as well as optimise the use of resources and reduce overall delays.
