Synopsis
This study introduces the reader to the application of decision making tools to crisis management. The topic is treated by means of a series of papers which are gathered into three groups, each one addressing a specific domain: information and decision structures; stability with respect to burden sharing problems, force ratios and deterrence; and assessment, negotiations and verifications procedures. The book aims to break down and analyze crisis management problems using operations research, game theory, computer and systems science and strategic modelling.
