Synopsis
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second IFIP-TC6 Networking Conference, NETWORKING 2002, held in Pisa, Italy, in May 2002. The 82 revised full papers and 31 short papers presented together with three invited contributions were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 314 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on multicasting, differentiated services, network performance, self-organizing networks services and protocols, call admission control, voice/video performance modeling, Web access, optical networks, network and traffic modeling, ad hoc networks, resource allocation, LAN and PAN, wireless network performance, multimedia, TCP, IP, queueing models, satellite networks, optical network performance, multi-protocol label switching, and future wireless networks.
